The trials and events before the BIG DAY!

This is a backdated post. I didn't want to post it earlier because I was a bit scared things would not go according to plan :p

But Alhamdulillah~ we have completed all our events grandiosely accordingly and Mr. T & I have been blissfully married for a month now.

Still, I would like to post the experience endured during the days before I officially became Mrs. T so that I can look back and savor the moment again :)

Good things seldomly come easy~

A tragedy happened in my family in June 2011, and I lost someone dear to me. I'm not sure whether we have lost her for good or Allah is just testing us to see how strong we are as a family. It was heartbreaking :(

At the same time, Mr. T and I have arranged a family get to know mid June, just before the tragedy strike. I was a bit confused whether to proceed or put the plan on hold at the time. So things were a bit chaotic and unorganized.

But my parents were quite eager to meet Mr. T's parents and get to know them better before Mr. T's family(this is to avoid the same tragedy from happening twice - kasihan my parents, the tragedy left them quite traumatize to judge people, furthermore, my mother's health have been badly affected by it), so we proceeded with the get to know session in mid June.

It was quite disastrous-honestly @_@

Major misscommunication happened during the event and it has dampen my mood for a whole week. But I'm not the kind of person that would be sober for so long. If things were meant to be, then there's no reason to not to put an effort to it. Even if it is not meant to be...at least I will not regret not trying. The experience does matter!

We managed to do that in another formal get to know session a month later. Mr. T came again with his family and they brought a ring to "seal the deal" and we had a very smooth Majlis Merisik. I'll write in a different post on how we found the ring~

The blissful month of Ramadhan was just around the corner at the time and since I was already "engaged" to a project that will need my commitment until middle of August plus Mr. T and I have yet to purchase all the necessity, so we decided to held our engagement one day after the 1Malaysia Public Holiday which falls on 17th September 2011 (18 Syawal).

I honestly did not plan to have a separated engagement event (originally we wanted to be engage in the morning and bernikah in the evening), but I was so glad I decided to go through with it. It was a wonderful experience ^_^
